Shut the HELL UP!

Article written by Moab Man

Date Added: 05/07/2006

Here we go again, Moab Man on a rant. This is your 5 second warning if you?re easily offended.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1? BEEeeeepp (you have been warned)

President George Bush addressed the nation about the long haul that is still ahead of this country in our war on terrorism. Here in Utah, and probably elsewhere, the news quickly ran to the wives that have their husbands deployed for the last 15 months and will probably be extended longer. Each woman was put in front of the video camera and shared how ?he?s been gone too long? and ?I was behind this if he was only to be gone a year but this is too long?. To these women I say SHUT THE HELL UP!

Each and every soldier VOLUNTEERED to do this job. He or she serving in uniform has the courage to put their life on hold to do what is right to protect this country and his or her loved ones from the cold reality of the world, while most Americans sit on their fat pompous ass armchair quarterbacking what the country should do. Added to that is our short term memory for what happened on September 11.

When exactly did it happen that women became so spineless in there support of their man and country while he serves to protect his country? There was a time when this country went to war and soldiers were sent off to war, in close combat for years, not returning until the conflict was finished. NOT for a short tour of duty of a year oris prodiver replica because anything more is too much time to be spent protecting the country. Women had guts and took up where the men left off caring for the home so that he could fight for our freedom. No they weren?t happy about it but knew it had to be done.

Again, to these women, SHUT THE HELL UP! The deployed soldier knows life sucks back home and he misses the family. You don?t think that everyday he wonders and misses all the little things that he will never get back such as the replica uhren newborns first words, steps, or maybe the older kid playing sports for the first time after the endless summers of throwing the ball back and forth with Dad.

What he does need is for you to be strong and support what he NEEDS to do. So find the grit that your grandmother had, stop whining, and show him you?re behind him. Suck it up and do what needs to be done.

And, just so you know I?m not trying to pick on these women, even worse is the Soldier, Marine, Airman, or Seaman that tries to duck his responsibilities to this country. YOU disgust me far greater than any of these women and should be stripped of the uniform you tarnish each time you put it on.

Final Thoughts

To all of you serving and those supporting your soldier while deployed, I salute you.
